I did see a YouTube video on how to disable the alarm that does not cause a warning. Its used to make the truck quiet if you are using it for a hunt truck

My 2025 XLT sounds more like this inside the cab, not sure about outside.
Was surprised I could hear it at all. Forty years of factory work I've lost some high and mid range frequency hearing according to yearly hearing test.
About ten years ago my company sent me to Germany. I got a Mercedes SUV of some type for rental. Engine shut off at red lights and apparently it beeped when backing up. New stuff for me. Anyway I backed into a garbage can in the motel parking lot. No damage but the guy with me ask "you didn't hear that?" "Hear what?" I said. Some beeper to let me know I was about to hit shit. He thought it was hilarious because I was tone deaf.

The volume from this persons recording isn't great, it's noticeable in person. Try headphones maybe?
Don't know what the actual beeper measures at, but the NHTSA electrified vehicle reverse warning requirement is only 45 dB @ 2 meters. So orders of magnitude quieter than an 85/95 dB+ reverse alarm for industry purposes.

Correct. Not very loud at all.
AND IIRC, normal conversation is around 55-65dB.

Thankfully yes, and it's not as annoying as the one for the big Ford transit vans Amazon uses for deliveries either. I don't have a decibel reader, but in person the warning sounds from the Maverick are more than loud enough even in the cab.

There must be even less sound-proofing on the XL.

With no HVAC or radio, and ears never damaged - it's barely audible, even to my son. It's there, but seems distant.

Go park next to a hybrid RAV4, let some drivers put both in reverse - and see if you can even hear the truck when standing in front of them.

I don’t know about that but it’s not any louder on the road than any other pickup i’ve ever owned

It is there to alert others you are backing up.
#FYI
The speaker for the reverse warning is located in the front, under the driver's side front wheel well.
