I inadvertently left something on when putting my 23 Maverick Tremor in the garage for the night. The next day I had a completely dead battery. I jump started using a battery pack I keep for such things, but upon starting there were numerous warning messages and features that no longer worked.

In the owners manual, there's a procedure for restoring everything back to factory settings (I think). You must turn high-beams on and off 5 times, then depress the brake pedal 3 times. You then should get a message stating everything is back to normal. I never received that message.

Has anyone had to jump start their Maverick with a dead battery? Were you able to get all settings back? I'm concerned because some of my safety features are still off or disabled. Thanks for any help.

You'll need to fully recharge the battery to get all the features to begin working again. The battery management system monitors battery capacity and limits certain non essential loads until the battery is fully charged. Just jump starting does not immediately recharge the battery. You could drive it for hours to fully recharge the battery, but best to put in on an AGM battery charger until topped off. Might take awhile depending on the size of the charger. When connecting the battery charger, attach the black ground lead to the chassis ground and not the battery negative terminal. That's so the current sensor on the battery terminal can measure the capacity being put back into the battery by the charger.

If your battery was dead, you should put it on a battery maintainer until completely charged.

Then, reset the Battery Monitoring System (BMS), using the procedure you posted.
Turn truck to ON (not started).
Turn on headlights.
Pull back on the dimmer switch 5 times.
Immediately follow by pressing the brake 3 times.

The only message you get is the red battery icon light in the instrument cluster will blink 3 times to confirm the BMS reset. If no confirmation blink, immediately repeat the above procedure.

Important to note that after you brake 3 times, you have to wait 10 FULL SECONDS to see the battery icon blink 3 times!!
