Reprogram Auto Start/Stop button

Does anyone know if there is a way to reprogram the console auto start/stop button to do something else after it has been deactivated using FORScan? It would be great to use it as a control for a relay, then we could power whatever we want.

Unlikely.

If you're looking to power a relay, the F-150 headlight switch mod and wiring to the BCM might be a good option. There are instructions if you search around on this forum.

I’m actually wanting to trigger a relay so I can switch which horn I use when I press the horn button on the steering wheel. When the relay is activated it will send power to a super loud “train” style horn. When it’s not activated it will just be the OEM horn.
I already have done the headlight switch mod to power my fog lights.

De activate auto stop/start in normal mode like sport.
Turn it off in Tow Haul also, please.
Leaving it in Eco mode would be fine.

There are aftermarket plugs that will reverse polarity on the switch so that it only on when you want it on. Also if you put a plug in your hitch it will automatically disengage it.

The automatic start/stop is already deactivated using Forscan. I'm just lookin (hoping) for a way to repurpose the switch to some sort of external trigger. Hopefully the BCM has output that is not currently used, similar to how we repurpose (activate) the fog light circuit in the BCM.

Do you have a pointer on how to disable in forscan?

I didn't realize you could do it there.
