When I ordered my Mav, I chose the 18" wheels. I do not like the 225/60 R18 tires that were the only option. I would like a wider and more all season tire. Has anyone made a similar upgrade?

BFG KO-2's come in a 255/55R18 size. Less than 1/2" taller, but slightly more than 1" wider and they have a great tread pattern and sidewall.

Thanks! Probably a little too aggressive thread for me.

I've always been a fan of Michelin tires, the Defender LTX M/S seems to be touted as a great do it all tire. They make it in a 245/60R18

Thanks! I think the 245/60 is a taller tire and would impact my speedometer slightly.

Same as on my ordered Mav. I will try them before making a change; but do not do much bad weather driving. So in reality a change is not likely.

They are comfortable, will wear relatively well and will help with fuel mileage but to me they felt a little sketchy in the rain and I did not feel that they would provide decent snow traction. I went with the Defender LTX MS and they have been excellent so far.
