I've been a long-time lurker in the Forum and have picked up a lot of useful knowledge about my 2024 XL, but this is my first thread.

My wife is a fan of the Flip-key fob and I am not, so I had two plastic-headed "dumb" keys cut and I programmed them myself using these excellent instructions. So now I've filled up the 4-key quota and can't add any more.

Recently, one of my Flip-key fobs was severely damaged. The metal key is fine and the truck recognizes the fob when the key is inserted, but the lock/unlock/panic buttons are non-functional.

I purchased a replacement Flip-key fob and can migrate the cut metal key into the new Flip-key fob, but need to remove this 4th key from the truck so I can go through the process of adding my new Flip-key fob. I do not use Forscan, but would consider it if that's the solution.

How do I remove this 4th key so I can add another?

There is a Forscan video out there on Ford's and removing one of the slots - to do your own programming.

Or dealer or competent locksmith - both may be close in price anyway.
Bring all the keys.

You may also be able to replace the chip in the new key fob with the chip in the old key fob. I successfully used that trick between two plastic key fobs.
