"Remote Features Disabled"

We have a 22 Maverick Lariat Eco-Boost and love it! My husband and I are both retired and don't drive much anymore. We've had it about a year now and have just over 4,000 miles on it. We keep getting text messages telling us that the remote features have been disabled in order to conserve the battery. We had it in for an oil change recently and asked about it. The Service guy told us it's because we don't drive the truck enough! Is there anything we can do to keep the remove features connected (i.e., start using FordPass app) even though we don't drive a lot? If anyone has any experience with this and can provide a little advice, please let me know. Thanks!

Get a battery tender and hook it up when you are not driving. Harbor freight sells them.

Regarding your question: That’s how it’s set up. Why? I don’t know
But nothing is wrong or broken.
You can give this a shot—it might work.?.?

Battery Tender Jr. Not cheap, but there is nothing better.
I will put one on my hybrid as soon as I get it. Have one on my RAV4, Yamaha, Slingshot and Civic.

My 22 XLT hybrid, 7k miles, disabled the remote features for the first time yesterday 2 hours after driving and parking. FordPass sent be the notification. Maybe signs battery is on life support???

I have had it happen twice already once sitting at home in the driveway and once while grocery shopping with my grandmother. That crap is stupid to have.

Neither one of those sound like you hadn’t driven for days.?.?.

In about 18 months, I only had it happen once. I was out of town and the truck was sitting for about a week.

Have your 12v battery tested, it's likely bad. I've been through that twice in 10,000 miles.

In any event, if you sell it, it might take you 10–15 minutes (on a slow day) to find someone interested in buying it

I wouldn't sell it just because of the "remote features" issue. Doesn't make any sense! Especially since, according to most of these replies, all you need is a battery tender (whatever that is) and you should be OK.
