Redesign the center console

I am thinking about building a custom center console. My main goal is to have vents going to the back. If you were going to redesign the center console what would you change from the one we currently have>

There are floor vents to the rear underneath the front seats = you can modify them easier and just keep floor selection on for that? Otherwise you may try an escape or bronco sport to see how closely they work

For starters...vents that can be shutoff. Vents in the back. Lighting of the center console too.

I agree. Andvit should be able to raise up aswell as slide out.

There's a light on the back on the console? My dog is the only one that rides back there, so the arm rest extends far enough forward that he is a vision impairment. I installed the trash can on the back of console but he kept falling thru the sprig lid, so I cut a piece of pywood to cover it and he likes that a lot better. He is my navigator. We put a cover on the console lid to protect it from paws. I don't think any other changes would be a benefit but I look forward to other opinions, something may be a realy good idea.

You can swap the Bronco Sport center console with rear AC vents

Yes, for your elbow to set on more comfortably.

I am thinking a seat out of a 1983-1988 Ranger would do the trick...while not a "true" bench...it comes close...

Gen 2 Rangers were also available in bench seats
