Hey everyone,

Just as the title says. I've read a lot of posts where the window wont go up but none that say it wont go down. I bought a new switch for the drivers side but that did not remedy the issue. When I engage the window switches, both driver and passenger, I only get a clicking noise.

I live in Albuquerque, NM and have tried both Power and Rich Ford dealerships. Power ford didnt even look into it for me when I left it there for basic maintenance and Rich Ford wanted $160 just to look at it as well as keeping my truck for 3 days(minimum). Luckily the three other windows work so Im not in a rush but I love my truck and want to make sure everything works properly.

Any thoughts on what it could be? My next attempt is to replace the window motor/regulator but was curious if there is anywhere else I should check out.

Thank you!

Erik

Sounds like a regulator, not sure on Maverick, but most regulators come with the motor included

I had almost the same issue on my '21 F-150. Swapped the switch first and nothing changed. Ended up being the regulator, it was binding so the motor couldn't move it. Once I replaced the regulator/motor assembly, it worked perfectly. Took about an hour to do with basic tools

I had a similar issue and so did others. My window was stuck up. Driver's switch sends too many volts and causes issues with the regulator and possibly the motor. It's good that you replaced the driver switch as that should prevent other windows from failing. If the motor is still making sounds, it may be ok, but the regulator is not. I replaced both just to be safe.
