I have a 2025 Tremor. What are people doing to mitigate potential damage to the underside of the rear bumper due to the lower departure angle? I don't want to cut the bumper. I was thinking about making a bumper bar that attaches to the hitch.

Adding something from the hitch even tucking under your Tremor is going to further reduce the departure angle and cause you to scrape and hit more often.

I know but I would rather something heavy duty bottom out than that plastic bumper with all those proximity sensors built in it.

Looks that I've had a senior moment. I've already asked this question in the same exact forum 🫣

There doesn't seem to be a way of me deleting this entire post myself. Admin, you can do it if you want lol

Yes you have.

But anyway. I still have a question for you.
When you purchase a Maverick Tremor is the sensor bumper (I'm not talking about the Bliss) included in the package or is that an upgrade like a lux package?
Can you order a Tremor without the parking proximity sensors?

It has the 360 cameras and the four rear sensors may be part of the co-pilot 360 and/or the Lariat package but it has four button sensors in the front bumper and the four in the back bumper

Thank you for the reply.
What I was getting at is if someone was getting a Tremor to really do some off-roading they would probably be better served, by NOT optioning some expensive equipment that could get tore up. Example the proximity sensors in your bumpers.

A big reason (besides fuel economy) that I parted ways with my 2023 Tremor was that it felt compromised. The lack of low gearing means you have less crawl and low speed control and have to use a little bump and run sometimes to get over obstacles. Combine that with the lack of front chin protection and the plastic rear bumper and it really limits where you can take it in any low speed off road trail.

I view it as a trail runner and I miss it dearly for the washboard, rutted out, mountain roads of Western NC I used to be able to charge down it in and have it just soak up all the bumps. Not so much in the Lariat AWD Hybrid.

Great idea 👍Thanks John.
Using that step, would make it easier to get in and out of the bed with the tailgate up.

I have this hitch skid plate on my 2023 tremor with stock trailer hitch. Had to have a machine shop bend it so it would fit. Haven't had to use it yet.

Does the Tremor have a different rear bumper than the regular 23 hybrid XLT?
