Radio antenna replacement?

Ah, yes, that would make sense.

DAB is in a different band and the basic C2 electrical architecture is global (Kuga in Europe), so it would have to support DAB. Although I’m sure the DAB front end has been depopulated on North American designated radio modules.

I purchased a 3 inch stubby and lost about half the channels on my radio. I live in a rural part of Georgia and need good reception to get some of the more distant channels. That may not be an issue in a city environment. Went back to the original and reception returned.

Has anybody removed their antenna and just used a bolt or shaped a bolt and used it ? Did it work OK ?

No, I purchased a replacement stubby from Panda Motorworks.

I was concerned about how stiff the original antenna was, but didn't want to go the stubby route, so ordered one the same length as the original but made out of soft flexible rubber.

I was afraid the car washes drop down air dryer may break the original antenna or the fin it mounts too, but wanted to maintain the best signal possible.

We'll see?

As an FYI, the E-Bay "flexible" rubber anenna I purchased is no more flexible than the stock antenna. I don't see any advantage in switching it out.
