questions on Tremor vs regular EcoBoost in handling

Hey all,

been in the market for a month or so and here is what I'm looking for, and what iv'e found, in CA

-Ecoboost
-Lariat
-Iconic silver or white

Found a Tremor'd Lariat in iconic silver in Bakersfield with no ADM, otd for 44k (vehicle, tax, lic, doc etc etc).

But, I want more car like handling since I use it mainly for estimating, mountain biking and general woodworking.....

How does the Tremor handle vs a standard gas Eco/Lariant.....

I have an FX4 with Falken WildPeaks. In my opinion it handles very well for a “truck”. My understanding is the Tremor suspension is a definite upgrade in handling bumps. However I don’t know if it would be better in terms of handling with 1” lift.

I traded in an XL 4K on a Tremor . My take away is Night and Day. The tremor has such a nice ride, and because it is so smooth it seems quitter . I do not drive fast so can not say about high speed cornering , but it is very well planted .

Similar body roll, even though the Tremor is lifted a little, the spring rate is similar.

I did see in a FB group a guy took a Tremor and lowered the hell out of it with coilovers, and sold the stock suspension. That would be a pretty sweet autocross, rallycross, trackday machine thanks to the torque vectoring rear differential.

Neighbor is an engineer with Ford and currently has a Tremor at home. I drove it and compared it with my Lariat FX4 with Wildpeaks and the ride really isn’t much different. If anything it’s a bit softer.

I have only driven our Tremor, but it drives like a car and handles bumps and rough road when you need it to. That said $44k is alot. Unless you are the type that you have that laying around, I would shop around. Paid just under $30k for our 33k Tremor. That was plenty for us.

its a car with a pickup bed. its going to handle like a lightly stiff car. its not going to handle like a f250.

Ya, it's 37k plus tax and doc, 44 out the door. I'm paying 10.25% tax in Alameda county. Super hard to find deals on these it seems. I'm pretty much only looking on AT and CarGurus. But I did find two dealers in CA that aren't doing a 5 to 10k markup., around here its a 10 fricken K markup on the hybrid.
