Thanks for the reply. No issues with the storage bins. Jack is secure and the spare is secure. It was determined it's related to the drive train. Switching to sport Mode and the noise isn't present. The amount of shifts decreases in sport mode; transmission shifts are differ.

No bulletins from Ford just yet according to FORD service.
I had the same thump and symptoms. Ford dealer drained the rear AWD unit and found that it had metal shavings in it. The fluid level was also low, from factory. They ended up replacing the unit (1 day job) and I haven't heard the thump since.

I do have other issues which I suspect has to do with the front AWD unit.

There last 3 weeks we have seen some very cold temps in central PA. The Thump noise disappeared with colder temps (mid 30s).. It was warm this week, temps high 40s low 50 and the thump came back.

Wonder if the temp impacts heat dispersion in the region of the rear diff unit? Would temps below freezing temp impacts fluid flow/viscosity?

So recently I started noticing a slight “thud” or “thumping” noise at what seems like the rear or underneath the truck when coming to a stop. Usually happens around 10-15 mph and is give or take in severity. Sometimes it’s pretty noticeable in the floorboard and other times I can’t feel at all. Happens right after it downshifts into 1st. Anybody else noticed or had yours looked at already for this ? I’m going to schedule an oil change at Ford and get them to drive it and see if there’s any chance this is something major. Truck drives and shifts like it always has since day 1 but you know when you start hearing something it bothers the hell out of you until you find out what it is.
Any update??

Hello all! First interaction with the forum as a registered user.

I've noticed the same issue with my Mav as well.

It drives well and all (understatement - I absolutely love this truck), but I guess I just want confirmation that this is a "normal" thing for the '24 2.0L AWD and not something to fret too much over.
