Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right location for this question but I hope someone can help me with this.
I have a Lariat W/Lux scheduled to be built at the end of the month and I was looking to add 2 simple LED strips to each side of the bed and tie into the factory switch so that when I either use the remote or the physical switch in back, the lights all go on together.
I understand I can tie into the harness with the connector for aftermarket items, but then I would need another switch to turn on and off, and I was hoping to use the factory switch. I am also hoping to use the other connectors for like a compressor or other future items. I figure it is easiest and simplest to have lights wired up to 1 switch that controls all the other bed lights as well.
My issue is I am not super great with trying to identify what wires are for what and if they are intermittent power or constant power...etc...and looking to see if anyone can find a diagram or actual picture(s) of what I would need to cut/splice into for the LED strip and the actual switch. If I remember switches correctly they normally have at least 3 prongs for wires, and I wouldnt know what ones to tie into correctly.
If this thread should be moved to another section, please do. Thanks for any help!
