Question about production timeline

I got my window sticker on 2/1 with the bubble on the tracker moving to "In Production" on the same date. My window sticker also says 2/1/2023 in the box for special order. I am a little confused because it says Scheduled Week of 2/10/2023 on the tracker, but apparently it has completed that step even though its not the 10th yet?

I have heard its about a week or so for the vehicle to be built once it enters production, so am I right to think it will be finished at the factory by the end of this week?

I'm hoping it will be built on 2/10. Our orders may be built on the same day! I have virtually the same tracker except for the confirmed date. I have my window sticker as well.

I think the date in the SPECIAL ORDER box is the date it goes to the plant - mine has said 1/31 since I got the 'In Production' email from FORD. But the date under the 'Scheduled' heading has changed twice - it first said Week of 2/6, then it said 2/10, and for the last week it has said 2/9. It changes from the build week to the build day once it's actually in line for production. Mine is still scheduled for production tomorrow - we'll see if that happens!!

Curious to know what your window sticker says on the top line toward the right side - I think the number is your 'place in line' for that week's production. Mine says '1055/1618'. Based on your info, your first number should be something higher than 1055 and the second number should be the same as mine since we're in the same build week.

I am later in the sequence...1612 / 2058. The second number is different despite having the same build week lol. I've attached my window sticker.

Mine is 594/2305. I have the same build date of 2/9.

That being said, good luck to us all and hopefully we get ours built this week. I am ready for this 16+ month wait to be over!

You are right there. My WS had 1/4/23 (That is an "Invoice date") and had been scheduled for the "1/9/23 Build week". Then Ford Chat told me it had a "1/13/23 Build Day." The tracker told me it went "In Production 1/12/23", and it revised the build week to "1/11/23" for some reason. Then I checked and saw the Modules were activated on 1/12/23 (and since it is a Lariat Lux, the Sync3 was also updated).

Then it sat for over 3 weeks, despite FordChat telling me it was done (including a trip to the body shop) on 1/12 and had an ETA of 2/5/23, and there were no holds or exceptions. Even my dealer showed me that VinView had the truck sitting in Mexico, but due in WY on 2/5/23 as late as 1/30/23 when he checked.

Finally, on 2/4/23, the tracker showed "Built 02/04/23", Ford sent me the "Built" email and VinView now shows a 2/25/23 ETA. It isn't reported as shipped yet as of 2/8/23.

So there isn't any real schedule to follow. There does not seem to be any fixed times, although building one generally takes only a day. Some folks who were in production that week already have their trucks, some are shipped, and some are still awaiting shipment.

And yes the dates do make me scratch my head. I was scheduled for the 7th and then they moved it to the 11th. Checked yesterday (the 7th) it is went into production. Was able to access my widow sticker today.

Mine says Scheduled for 2/14/2023. Today it shows in production, however, still not able to access my widow sticker. It says no sticker available check back later.

My window sticker says 1/13/23. Went into production in tracker on 1/16/23. Date then changed to 1/20/23. Built on 2/3/23 and shipped on 2/6/23.

That's my timeline, I've seen lots of different ones though

Good luck to you all! While it's fun to watch the progress of the timeline, as you've discovered it's likely to change ... and may ultimately not be too accurate.

Our XLT was showing "In Production" on 12/01/22. Then "Built" also on 12/01/22.

Original tentative arrival at dealer was 1/01/23 ...

But in reality, it did not show as "Shipped" until 1/02/2023 ...

And then did not arrive at my dealership here in northeastern Pennsylvania until another full month — 2/02/2023.

So two full months between the build date and when it got here. Some get theirs faster, some slower. Just "depends" on many shipping variables.

As others have posted, there's really no way to predict how long it's going to take to (a) leave the plant and (b) get delivered to your dealer.

That month wait between when it was built and when it was shipped was a killer. I was checking the tracker just about every day, just waiting for it to get on a blasted train.
