Hello everyone. My wife and I have started planning and figuring out the necessary upgrades to our Maverick. We plan to use 2026 as a year to plan and prep the vehicle for the journey. Hopefully that will give us plenty of time to complete, and spread out the cost, so in 2027 we can make this journey from our home to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. It is a 57 hour, 3200 mile journey one way. We love to travel and Alaska has some amazing scenery and wildlife we can't wait to explore and see. I am compiling a list of upgrades/improvements/modifications I plan to do to our Tremor to help make the daunting adventure a smoother one. (If someone wants to know what has been done already and what I plan to do, I can add that into a comment later.)

Ultimately, I am looking for advice from people who have made this trek into the Arctic Circle. If there is anyone or if there isn't, I am looking for advice from those that may have more experience doing this kind of thing than I do. Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying these baby trucks, I know we do. 62,000 miles and counting in 2.5 years of ownership. We didn't buy it to let it collect dust!

have two spares - good jack/lug wrench - take a jumper box - gas cans - gas heat additive -air/oil/filter for a change - extra fluids - spare wiper blades - light bulbs - windshield damage is not uncommon - not much you can do about that - foldable traction boards - cable chains - tools - shovel - flares - flashlights/lantern - food water weather gear

does a tremor have a place to hook tow strap for pulling you out of mud/snow or ditches? I traveled the Alcan in the 70`s and there were several ditched vehicles and places you got towed through the mud by a caterpillar

Driving to the Arctic Circle is one thin, driving to Prudhoe is an entirely different animal. YouTube is your friend, Alaska is an amazing adventure however far you go.

Welcome to the Dalton Highway.
This is 85.1 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska. We turned around at the Dalton Highway sign. It was far enough north for me. Next time I want to go to the Yukon river bridge. The Dalton Highway is a unpaved gravel road.

It absolutely does. Factory pair of tow hooks in the front, factory trailer hitch in the rear. i don't think that'll be much of an issue though, mostly decently maintained gravel road with some sections that are paved from Fairbanks to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay.

Yes, Youtube is my friend, but I was looking to chat with people who have actually done this kind of thing on here. We are excited for this once the vehicle and we are more adequately prepared for such an adventure.
