Production Purgatory

First time Ford customer and I'm hating every steps of the way!

Scheduled for production the week of 5/9.
VIN/Invoice on 5/6 and tracker showing In Production w/o a date for almost two weeks now.
Call Ford and they informed me it's "in production"... thank you.

If I ever get my truck, I'm so done with Ford.

I understand all the problems with producing anything nowadays but that is still no excuse for lack of information or just staying in touch with your customer base. I hope Ford learns from this. Very poor communication.

Same build week here- 5/9 build day of 5/12- Finally showed in production with a date this morning of 5/18- Truck is built- Ford chat can see into the production line unless they are just lying. Modules all went full live last night- Check again

I was just watching the weekly Autoline After Hours webcast today. These guys are automotive insiders in a big way. They observed that most of the automakers really, really suck at customer communications (They were also talking about how customers can game the reservations because they're usually refundable).

So the insiders know it. We know it. Probably Ford CEO Jim Farley knows it (he is an awesome car dude and is steering Ford in the right direction). But getting a behemoth like Ford to actually fix it is like trying to avoid hitting a dolphin with an oil tanker. This ship will turn in two or three years.

I’m also still waiting. May 12th production date. It’s still not built. This is Fords game. Drive us all nuts and maybe we won’t notice the rest of their BS.

So I have a schedule week of May 2, Got a vin on the 5th? Showed in production and then showed a May 12th date. Got BCM modules but no PCM ones. Stuck in limbo. Just called my salesman and to check visibility report and it showed produced and a delivery date around end of June. Yippy! My status still shows in production.

Just finished another chat with Ford and this is what I was told:

“Thank you for your patience! Your vehicle order status for your order currently displays In Production Produced Ford Hermosillo Assembly, SO May-17-2022 start date Jun-12-2022 end date Jun-18-2022”

The agent could not tell me what the June dates meant.

Just finished another chat with Ford and this is what I was told:

The agent could not tell me what the June dates meant.

That's similar to what my salesman told me. He said"produced is built and June dates when it could arrive at dealership. I hope he's right.

Does anyone have a 5/16 build date and have a window sticker? How many are in your batch? There are 2312 in my batch, and I'm 1437. Does anyone else have 2312 in their batch? If so, what's your build date?

My build date was 5/9, but I've seen other people with a build date of 5/9 have a batch # of 2339. Maybe mine was bumped to 5/16 or 5/23, and no one told me.

I have a 5/16 build and my #'s are 347/619. A strange one, huh?
