I ran into this recently myself. You are correct, it works out to be $480 increase. My price lock was not originally honored until i referenced the following internal memo given to me by ford customer center (when I called in to get clarification), that details the price lock protection that should be honored for orders placed before the mid year price increase:
EFC12199 maverick mid year pricing announcement effective feb 21 2023. Keep in mind I had already paid and this was a few days later, but my dealer did honor the difference with a check cut to me after offering this reference.
Hopefully you can provide that and they will do the same.
Can you please link to that memo, or which Ford number/department did you call to get this information? My dealer is playing dumb about price protection and kept trying to muddy the water by mixing private offer and price protection as the samething to get me to just pay the window price with $480 increase. Thank you

For an order you placed or a stock sale?
No..I missed the ordering...wasn't even aware of the Maverick back then. No, I am one of the fools who paid close to 10k over the window sticker. Kendall Ford in Eugene,Or. They did not deal, a take it or leave it thing. The Lariat Hybrid is quite nice with the Cactus color and the faux brown leather. Life is short..

I called: customer service 1-800-392-3673 And explained my situation and they provided that EFC number and description. They also stated they could not directly email me the communication but could sent a variant of it. Maybe they could email you this for you to provide. Remember also, I paid the difference and was Later reimbursed via personal check. Hope that helps.

Wow you paid the difference first and was later reimbursed by the dealer? Is this the norm or an exception because your dealer is honest?

I'm currently dealing with my dealer over exactly this with my truck sitting on the lot. Really not sure if I should just pay the difference now, bring it home, and deal with it later or wait till tomorrow morning when Ford lines are open so I can be armed with more info to go back in tomorrow before noon. Though how much the dealer is gonna change their attitude with more info is also debatable.

I'm just really afraid once I sign it they'll lost all incentives to give me what I'm owned back.

Yes, I paid and then tracked down more info the following day or two and came back. I appreciate their honesty and the fact they paid me back the difference. For me that’s the difference in rating a dealer 3 vs 5 stars. The check was labeled specifically, “refund for price protection”.

Dang sounds like you've lucked out on that one, my dealer has been anything but transparent on everything so far.

That's the way all Mavericks are going especially new ones that the customer did not pick it up. Market Adjustment pricing for Maverick, Lightning, some Broncos, Dark Horse Mustang. People that buy them at that price just incentivizes dealers to charge that much.

Ok I ordered the Mav 23,790.00 om the order form. Now I get to the ford site and check on build and I see a Sticker MSRP of $24,270.00. Right at 480. Over the agreed on Order Summary Time of Preview: 09/16/2022. Has anyone else noticed it. I thought the order on the 16th was a lock. ( This Is my Wife's Mav)
In my case, I had them put it in writing on the Buyers Order that the price will not exceed the total on the Buyers Order, with the exception of a processing fee. They did not try to charge me the additional price increase. Tim Bartz explains it in this short video.

Yeah $400 on the base and an extra $100 on delivery. This increase pretty much negated my $500 dollar deposit. I'm not too worried about $500 extra.
