First of all, I'm not mechanically inclined. I'm looking for advice on how to prepare my 2024 Maverick Hybrid for shipping overseas? Like, most importantly avoiding deep sleep. The vehicle is getting shipped somewhere in Europe.

Thanks in advance ☺

I doubt you can keep it from deep sleep. They had to jump start my car after being in the container for two weeks. One thing to do is get a spare key made. You don't want to take the small chance of one of your originals getting lost. Then follow the shipper's instructions; like no loose items, how much fuel, etc .

I've done this before, Shipped a vehicle to what was then West Germany.

In my day our Lead acid was not allowed to ship.
I had to buy a new one in Bremerhaven Germany.
Air up your tires some, It's cold crossing the North Atlantic.
Fold your Mirrors in and remove your antenna.
Be sure to cover the antenna hole, make it count, no tape.
Think secure.
Take pictures all around the vehicle and Insure it.

I shipped a car to Bremerhaven back in the '80s and concur w/ Posts #2 & #3 above. Because the battery is under the back seat you might consider leaving a note inside about the jump points under the hood and if you want to be really thorough do it in English AND German. Those people move lots and lots of cars, though, so it'll probably go very smoothly.
