I absolutely remember your order! One of my best friends is from ~Pocatello and they always get a little excited when I tell them I shipped to Idaho. We do a fun back-forth where they explain where in Idaho I shipped to and what it's generally like in that area.
ha ha that’s awesome. I might order some more stuff from you when I go back down for the summer.

I created a plug-n-play kit to install 12v cigarette sockets to replace the OEM Flexbed cover.
I'm curious about your thoughts on an issue I've had in the past using 12v ports for high-draw applications. The fuses can blow if you're a little overzealous with a tire inflator or whatnot. Would it be worthwhile to have a secondary inline fuse with the 12v socket wiring that's rated a little under the primary fuse so if you happen to overdraw the port it doesn't de-power everything wired to the primary fuse?

@Maverick_Innovation_Designs Just installed a USB and 12v port. Easy to do and fits great and the ones accounting for the liner thickness installed easily. I also like the LED display and would be nice to have one in the 12v port too.

Quick question, is the USB A fast charge the same as QC 3.0?

I don't know about "major" or "minor" power, but the way I looked at it, I can plug a USB brick in the 120VAC outlet and have whatever I need there, so I put the SAE 12V on that side. I put a USB A&C receptacle on the passenger side.

Will two people ever sit side by side on the tailgate, both with their phones plugged in, watching the sunset or something? A guy can dream...

The one downside is that the air compressor I have in the truck will run only on 120VAC or 12VDC, so with it I am limited to the driver side, at least at the back of the truck.
I ended up installing the 12v port on the passenger side thinking that I can add a UPS cigarette lighter adapter if needed and if I need a 12v port on the drivers side I can get a 120v AC to 12v adapter. Same thinking as you but in reverse 😁

They both should charge up to 15W (3A @5V), but I can double check. The USB-C should do up to 30-35W.

The simple answer is that it should be fine as-is, I wouldn't add the in-line fuse. I've used them a few times and they can create more problems than they solve.

The technical answer is that Ford used a 20A fast-blow fuse shared between the left/right sides of the Flexbed using 16AWG, which should be rated for 15A sustained load (or higher surge load). Even with certain things - like tire inflators - that have a power surge when the motor first engages, it's highly unlikely you'll blow the 20A fuse. Even though Ford lists the Flexbed as 10A sustained on each side, you could probably do up to 15A loads safely. So as long as you don't have two air compressors running at the same time, you should be fine.

Very good to know, thank you!

I was hoping to find something like this. Just ordered the 12v and USB. I have some rechargable LED magnetic lights that I need to keep charged and this will provide a way to do that while the truck is on and the ability to use other 12v tools later. Prices are very reasonable. Thanks!

One of the reasons I designed them is to help keep my tools charged up. I should have yours shipped tomorrow or Saturday.

Hi all, I was out-of-office this past week so the shop was closed. It'll be open this week before paused again. On the upside, these should be the only two disruptions this summer.

Thanks Mark - ordered a couple of things from you and the build quality is excellent and price very fair. Very nice packaging job too!

My Bad....

While installing accessory lights using Flexbed 12v connector I accidentally blew the fuse. Where is the Flexbed 12v fuse located? Cannot find this in the owner manual.... Thanks in advance!
