Looks good, I just ordered the AL4 on Friday, could have really used it today!

That one turned out nice!
I bought the $300 Ebay hard cover. It's made very well of decent materials, but I found it maybe an inch shorter than it should be. It covers the bed and the attached foam weatherstrip keeps water out, but it just overlaps maybe .5" front and rear. I guess if it keeps water out that's enough...
It's about .5-.6" thick, so it sticks up a bit from the bed rails, but I can also stand on it. I need to source or make some rack mounts that will allow it to function with the rack on (probably just 4" 1/8" thick angle, mounting the rack slightly wider than the hardcover)

Will do. The main reason I ordered the AL4 over the AL3 is that the middle section of the AL4 is latched where it is not on the AL3 so you can lift it a bit which might let a little water in or a give a nefarious character better leverage to get in. i probably will never flip it up all the way either.

Just installed yesterday. Will see. Has to be better than a soft cover.
Except my self-installed OEM soft cover still doesn't leak ANY water in car washes or GA monsoon weather... No extra weather stripping added. 2 years old. :)
