Didn't use it for wheels but I bought Hyper Dip from dipyourcar.com for my side badges and emblems. I've used regular Plasti-dip in the past and IMO Hyper Dip applies better, peels at the edges you remove easier and has better finish quality. They have a million color options and sell kits specifically for doing wheels too.

Key to HyperDip is doing the initial dust coats really light and then being willing to do more wet coats than you think you need to. Keeping it warm is super helpful. I dunked my cans in a hot tub since it was somewhat cold when I applied and this helped the spray atomize evenly.

Good information. Was wondering about dipping my XL lug cap black after some yesterday say they did a black paint and it looked good. But I hate permanent stuff like paint.
