Pixelation on display screen

Has anyone else experienced pixelation on their stereo display? Today all of a sudden upon startup my screen was blurry and full of pixels. Any ideas? Had the truck for just over a week.

It doesn’t just show up on CarPlay, was like that when no phone was connected too. It’s odd, was just like that when I started it up once and hasn’t gone back to normal. Thanks

Oh, I see you have the non sync3 radio, I thought you posted a picture of the CarPlay in use.

sorry for any confusion: yes, carplay was in use in those photos, but even when apple carplay is not being used it's doing the same thing

Both the standard infotainment system and Sync 3 as included in Lariat Luxury Package support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In other words, all Maverick units (at least for the US market) support AA and CP.

My radio seems to be working now after holding down on and scan fwd buttons for 5 seconds to reset. Would not be surprised if this was momentary though. Xlt/xl do not have sync 3.

Have you reset the radio?

Re-setting works for me then happens again at some point

Summary
Some 2022 Maverick vehicles may exhibit a radio intermittently not changing stations when using buttons on the console and/or the turning tuner knob. If the radio/audio resets after shutting the vehicle off and opening and closing the door, inform the customer that Ford is working on a solution which is expected to be available by December 2021. Advise the customer that the vehicle is safe to drive and schedule a follow-up appointment for January. Once the solution becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.

UPDATE: I started 'er up this morning and everything was normal. So i have no idea what happened, but if it happens again i'll try resetting it.

Hopefully ford comes up with a remedy. We shouldn't have glitchy radios with the my ford touch system--whatever it is called. Not sure if the true synch 3 system that is available on ariat is stable and reliable. To save a few dollars ford may have cost themselves a lot more.

This has been happening in mine off and on, it does go away when you reset the head unit but then it resets your ford pass and you have to setup ford pass again. Its very annoying. Also It doesn't always recognize my iPhone being plugged in and automatically bring up CarPlay. I have to unplug and plug my phone in several time before CarPlay will pop up.

@Ford Motor Company could you look into this for me as well?

I have had the same thing happen once. Reset the radio and hasn’t happened again.
