If I get one in the after market segment - it will be the hard tri-fold model. the roll-up type blocks the rear view and the soft type is useless, because it can be cut or ripped is seconds.

The roll up only block the bottom third on the rear window. If you get a tri fold where the third panel goes up to give you access to the entire bed, it blocks the entire rear window.

Yes, but it blocks the bottom third of a very narrow window.

Looks like the Peragon takes up 6-8 inches of cargo space, blocking the rear window shouldn't be a problem when you have 2 side view mirrors and a backup cam.
