The temperature here in NW Arizona has dropped from 118° to 108° in the last few days and the milage on the hybrid improved be over 6%. 30 to 32 MPG.
Looking forward to October when temps should be down to more reasonable figures and milage should be back up to the 40 to 50 MPG range!
118 to 108?...God damn!!!

I think the fact that the AC has to cool the battery as well as the cab.
At higher ambient temps the differential between battery coolant and ambient is not enough to remove enough btu's so the AC condenser has to provide the additional cooling and at some point that's not enough and the charging will be restricted.
