ottocast dongle

I bought the ottocast Android auto dongle on Amazon. I cannot get it to work. It pairs with the radio , and comes up as an option for a source. But when selected it says "media not available on this device" I downloaded the latest update but I can't get it to work. The tech support is useless. Has anyone had better luck with this device? it is the U2X model. I have the XLT Maverick

All i'm seeing is for Car Play. I'm trying to get it to work with AndroidAuto
