Hello everyone I’m new here, I just ordered my new maverick xl 2.0 eco boost and awd. I’ve never ordered a new car but I guess this is the way car companies do it now. I’ve read a lot of stuff on this site but can’t find the answer I’m looking for, also my dealer couldn’t really tell me either. My question is when could I expect my new maverick?? I have a priority code of 10.

This is a Total guess here ..From all my scouring the boards . Best case scenario 2 to 3 months I ordered on 11/3 eco boost ,AWD ,360, lariat ,no luxury pac. I am not in production yet after 3 weeks my order has cleared to be scheduled. It seems if you keep all add ons, like bed liners especially the spray on, bed covers etc etc off the order you get a better outcome .Besides you can get all that stuff in the aftermarket ,my dealer instructed me to leave it all off we will do anything you want here for you ,we don't want it holding up your truck. MY OPINION :) resign yourself to 4 months on a non hybrid that is a reasonable time frame subject to of course.

Oh yea my add on are spray in bed liner, full size spare, 400 watt inverter and that’s all I think. So I should remove the spray in bed liner and maybe that would speed things up? Thanks for the quick replies!! I guess my next question is how do I take the spray in bed liner off the list?

no advise here BUT ,I would take off the spray in for sure any ford dealer with a body shop can do that or there are a ton of aftermarket guys, as there is a lot of chatter about spray in order delays . this is my order that was cleared " clean for scheduling" ( you can look at my past post. 2.0 eco boost ,AWD, lariat trim ( not luxury)400 w inverter, full size spare, splash guards, co pilot 360. so I ordered on 11/3 and my order was cleared inside of 2 week's .Also make sure your dealer follows all steps to get you cleared , refer to post about ROVP or COVP this is super important as you really don't have a truck on order till this is complete and approved by Ford. If he has not asked you for copy of your drivers license and a signature on documents spelling out your order THAT IS A SURE SIGN he does not know the process .

This is what you want to see COVP .If you don't have it you are dead in the water . Many just ordered went home and waited and there dealer did not understand the process and now after month,s they are finding out they are without an order

I did not get this email because the dealer didn’t attach it to my order. I had them fix that, then called ford. Ford says it is on the order now and my order looks good. “Processing” and she said my next email will be when they set the production date and have my VIN.

Congratulations on your order! Mine is going in Dec 15th. Also XL, 2.0 AWD, 4k Tow, spray in bedliner, full size spare, floor mats, splash guards. Don't care when it arrives, longer is better in my case actually. I'm not going to change a single thing on my order trying to game the system "hoping" it affects delivery time (It likely won't and I don't care). I want what I want and will wait for my truck to arrive exactly the way I ordered it from the factory.

To answer your question, you would have equal luck consulting a magic 8 ball on delivery times than asking your dealer or Ford. Way too many moving parts and variables involved to get firm reliable answers on that- and dates subject to change at any time.

My advice (free, not worth anything) is relax and change your mindset from "expecting" the truck to arrive any particular date and just be happy when it does show up! No stress that way. However if you have some other issues or conditions behind the scenes tied to your purchase like trying to time best market for selling your used car, etc., then consider not buying the Maverick until all other contingencies are removed and all that is left is waiting for your shiny new Maverick to show up whenever that happens...

Rock on Zakk!

Best of Luck. Probably a real long wait. I ordered my XLT 2.0 back in July, and am still waiting.
