FOrs does not allow this, this is why when you ordered your truck you gave them a copy of your DL.
No, that is because they did not want dealers ordering for their own lot stock.

I agree I'm sure Ford will watch what happens if a dealer has 150 "orders" and 75 ends up being sold to someone else other than the person who ordered it, Ford wouldn't be happy and come down on the dealer.
I guess we will see. It's an easy system to bypass. I doubt Ford has much if any recourse. If they care at all.

No big deal - they will gladly refund your deposit (if you made a deposit). They will just put it on the lot and sell it for more! It already counted against their monthly allocation.
It's pretty obvious, from comments and videos, that sales people ordered Mavericks and Broncos. My husband and I each ordered slightly different Mavericks. Without question, dealers intend to beef up their stock this way.

IT's the same thing

No it is not the same thing. This is the part you did not read in the article. " According to local magazine Creative311, owners must sign on the dotted line and agree not to resell the vehicle. "

That is contract law. Signed and agreed to by both parties with foreknowledge.
