Hi everyone so I was one of the people that had been asking about order confirmation emails a week or so ago turns out my dealer waited 2 or 3 weeks before he actually put my order in because he didn't think I was going to be able to pay for it even though we'd already signed the order slip. I should have been able to get my order in the day after they announced the vehicle instead the order didn't go through till like the 23rd how much if at all since production has not been scheduled do you think this will mess up my chances of getting a vehicle early among the batches?
Didn't think you were going to be able to pay? Assuming someone's financial ability is bad business and it's an automatic "go somewhere else" from me. I work with a lot of people who don't dress up or look fancy, live in fancy houses or drive fancy cars, but we get paid very well. Our annual bonuses alone after taxes is enough to buy a Maverick outright in cash.

Anyway, off my soapbox :)

As for the order scheduling:
Scheduling begins July 15, with Production starting August 16

Some options are late availability/deadly sins that could delay your order:

With those in mind, I wouldn't suspect you'd have to wait too long. Mine has a "deadly sin" (Rapid Red paint), so mine gets bumped and others move up the chain. I'd wait to see if you get an e-mail with an update on 7/15 (Ford sends out emails on thursdays) and hope you get lucky to get on the first round of scheduled builds. Its entirely possible if enough with constraint items get bumped and you move up far enough.

In the end if you're happy with the deal, that's what matters. You can always take it in for service anywhere you want. While using Xplan I could probably get an OK deal, I just do not like any of the dealers in my area, and that pretty much covers the whole state of FL!
True.
There are dealerships being listed on here selling 3% below invoice my man. You’re overpaying for no reason. Offering cash does nothing to simplify anything. It’s like showing everyone at the poker table your cards to make playing the hand easier. Easier for everyone but you.
Those below invoice dealers are in the US. Places like Granger and Chapman move so much volume they can do that.... smaller places like around me in the GWN, not so much (hence @ MSRP or MSRP+$).

Is poker a realistic comparison? If they want me to finance, the whole discussion goes to "what do you want your payment to be". I see your point that method of payment could be left to the end.... But if the whole negotiation is the final out the door price, does it matter? They can't give you a price with the assumption they will make x$ on financing.

Anyway, I had a fair idea of the invoice vs. MSRP for my config. What I expected to negotiate to was somewhere between invoice and MSRP, with some extras like PDI/admin fees (which could also be negotiated of course). What I got was MSRP + essentially.... nothing added! ... No PDI, No Admin fees, no mystery line items. So the price I paid was pretty much what I expected to end up at (a bit lower) so, some profit for them, no sandbagging other stuff on me. As spyderman01 said "if you are happy with the deal...". And I am! Yes, maybe I could have shopped a bunch more dealer in person and knocked them down another $500. Or ... maybe that wouldn't have been possible and I'd still be spending my weekends at dealerships. Anyway I won't lose sleep over the price I paid. That said, I will take your advice on the next vehicle and leave the payment type off the table until the end.
