I received an "order confirmed" email from Ford on 10/21/21 for my online Build, but then the Dealer had to enter the build into their system and submit which they said they did verbally by 10/25/21. I have never heard anything more and have never seen anything in writing. The Dealer has not been forthcoming with an Order Number. How I do I know if I ever actually got into the system with this lack of followup?

Did you sign any paperwork and did they get a photocopy of your drivers license?

yes to both
Dude then why didn't you ask for a copy when you were at the dealer? It just blows my mind that people go into a dealership to order a new vehicle and they don't get copies of the paperwork they signed.

FWIW I'm not singling you out but over my 4 and a half month tenure here I've read many posts like yours. Posts from people who went in and signed all the paperwork but never asked for copies then they make threads or posts asking how to get this info because the dealer won't give it freely.

Anyway, your only course of action now is to either keep pestering your dealer until they relent and send you a copy of your DORA or call the 800 number and see if they can help.

Ya I hear you -- I didn't go in, rather did it all electronically -- just amazes me the lack of customer service from dealerships that are basically contributing nothing to this process -- why would it be so hard to share an order number? -- oh well will just have to keep after them -- the the 800 number is basically an all day hold it seems

I went into the dealership and did all the stuff. DL copy, $500 down (supposedly refundable), and signed copy of my build order. Dealer is NOT helping me at all with giving me additional info despite repeated requests and I don't have the time to keep harassing or going in person to get really insistant. I'll say this, if they try some mark-up s#it when and if my truck comes in, hell will be raised. The whole process really shows why the dealership model needs to die. With few exceptions, they are all clueless and completely useless. Middle-men with absolutely zero reason to earn a dollar on the sale.

I am having the same exact deal with mine. Sales guy says the manager can tell me info. Manager says ask the sales guy. Now crickets. At least the 800 number confirmed I am “processing”.
