This order is for a Ford Expedition! Am I missing something?
Thats one of the things I questioned on seeing it as well. I confirmed the order with them that it was for the hybrid maverick xl... even if thats not what it says on the paper.

Too many red flags going on here. Your making a long-term contractual agreement. If you don’t feel good entering the agreement, or don’t even know or can’t confirm what you’re entered into, then I really think you should reconsider this dealership.

I made two orders, knowing that if one began to smell fishy, I had another option to exercise.

I am not saying that you CAN'T get a vehicle any other way, just that there is supposed to be a process by which you sign the DORA and provide a photo of your DL. I had to. And I got an email from Ford within a day or two.

If you didn't sign a DORA, provide a copy of your license and subsequently receive a confirmation email from Ford, it's probably a good idea to call Ford just to make sure.

BTW can you track the VIN?
That'll come in its own time. Still savoring the rush of endorphins from receiving a VIN. Us old folks need to ration the excitement.

So I should ask for that specifically then. You think its a potential red flag if the dealer dosent want to produce that whatever reason? I could just be overtly paranoid.
The dealer should provide you with a copy of the DORA. If they won't, at least get the sales code and order code so you can call Ford and inquire/confirm the order.

I recommend you contact the GM of the dealership and set an appointment to speak to them in person, take what you have and hopefully they can get to the bottom of this whole situation. Make sure you walk out with documents that are signed and have your information accurately detailed.

Called today so im hoping I get a response back. Just hoping there isn't anything wrong cause I know the window closed on new orders on 11/17. So just gotta pray and be determined

Shouldn't be a problem. Look at the 1st line item in the left column on your sheet. It says Maverick and gives the vehicle identifier number and price of $19995.

I had similar concerns when ordering mine this week: the sales guy at local dealer knows me and when we were allowed to make reservations I did a quick build & price and chose my same dealer and submitted on-line. He called me up later and said "hey I just got your reservation for a Transit Connect forwarded to me- I thought you wanted a Maverick!" So I get paranoid and go down there within a few days and he said he was messing with me and knew I only wanted the Maverick. When I ordered this week 1 of the sheets he brought over for me to review still showed Transit Connect after 6 months gone by! I told him I wanted it changed right then and he said don't worry everything tied to your order is for Maverick. Sure enough, when I got the Order Confirmation from Ford a couple minutes later it said congratulations on your Maverick order and showed my correct build info.

Definately some growing pains all around on this new process!
