I just want to say. I am so unbelievably unhappy with Ford in general so far. I was just delayed to a build week of March 21st. I ordered back on the first week of August and I was sent an email on December 16th about a Feb 21st prod date. Honestly, the unorganized mess this has been, I just emailed my dealership and let them know I am going to start actively looking elsewhere. I do not like the feeling of thinking im trapped in an endless cycle anymore and I sure as heck don't like not having a defined date for this. Time to cut my losses and move on. Ford if your looking at this by some insane luck, my order number is 6111. Ive been in communication with your customer service through phone as well as tweets.

I don't think they care. Thanks for participating. Try ordering an $80k lightning then your voice might carry some weight.

Looks like production is getting pushed back.
I had a 1/31 date that was changed on Monday to 2/7.
I just received another email changing it again to 2/14.
Twice in 2 Days!

Sir. Im trying to resist throwing my keyboard at my damn monitor at the moment. Im legit done this time I think. Im going to start looking for a jeep or an SUV this week. I have pretty much lost all hope for ford as a company. I have stocks in this company and I think I am going to be selling my stocks. I do not support a company this unorganized any longer.

Most everyone on here has to wait including myself. 7/19 order with a 1/31 build week got pushed to 2/7.

If you walk away from your order Ford won’t care one bit. Your dealer will thank you for a stock order that will be getting an ADM.

No I think your right they don't care. And here is the crazy part. Im sitting here thinking who is the idiot here? Me or Ford? Im leaning toward myself for thinking I should get Ford vehicle. If this is hows its going to be before I even get the vehicle whats it going to be like after I get it? I always said I would never buy a new vehicle. I always said I would never pay a premium on something like a vehicle. I think Im leaning toward a used truck or a SUV/Jeep. Ive had it with this company!

Their stocks are going down at the moment. Wait until summer when the lightning orders start coming in then sell your stocks. I'm currently holding enough to get myself a few mavericks so wishing for it to blow up.

Here is the thing. Good for them. I have to do whats best for me because no other company will care. Learned that a lonnnggg time ago. I think the logical and smart decision would be to walk away from this nonsense.

Clearly there is something in your order that they are probably having a tough time sourcing. While I feel for you, it's just a truck and not a life ending situation and maybe you are better off buying something else and selling your stock since you seem to be kind of emotional about this. I'm sure they are doing the best they can to get older orders completed but I haven't been able to get some of my regular grocery purchases for months due to supply chain shortages so why wouldn't the same shortages affect everything else to include your Maverick production? Honestly this sounds more like a tantrum and like you're going to give your dealer an ultimatum but if you were thinking more clearly and really wanted something else you would consider just keeping your order in and selling it for a profit when you did finally get it since clearly these are in demand.

I think every manufacturer is experiencing production issues. They are short on components or they would build the trucks. The waiting and changing dates are frustrating.
You can also look for a Maverick from a dealer. Some will sell at MSRP. Maybe get one quicker and skip the stress here.
But I say hang in there! It will get built. You and I are a lot closer than many people who ordered before us. Lots of June and July orders have not been selected yet for a production date.

Tantrum is not the word to use. The word to use is lost all hope in a company, lost respect for a company, angry by the miscommunication, angry that they took as many orders as they did knowing they wouldn't be able to take care of their customers, angry by the lack of communication from their customer service, not learning from their previous model truck orders, upset that I feel trapped by such a large organizations inability to get their shit together. These are all feelings and emotions that are going on. A tantrum is not one of them. You might as well erase the word "Karen" out of your brain. If this was the first go around id agree with you. But it is not. It is time to start looking for a company who is willing to provide white glove customer service.

No, tantrum is correct. We're in a global supply chain crunch in addition to an ongoing pandemic, labor shortages, the list of roadblocks go on and on and on. A rational person would understand that you can barely find any decent vehicles on a dealer lot and the ones that are appealing and sitting on a dealer lot are significantly marked up over MSRP because of the global supply chain shortage and severe demand for vehicles. It seems like you have no clue how forecasting and supply procurement works along with risk mitigation especially on rollout of a brand new vehicle.

I get the frustration. I’m staying as long as it takes and my build is within sight after waiting 6 months whats a few more weeks.

There is nothing else that compares to the hybrid Maverick and I will wait it out to get what I want. To me mpg is most important with gas prices going up and I donā€˜t see them stopping for the next 3 years.

I have bought 3 new Fords in the past 7 years and they have been great vehicles. All 3 were first year models no less. Any time I needed something fixed under warranty which was only a couple of times they fixed it without question. I don’t see any thing being different with the Maverick.

If getting a Jeep will make you happy go get one and be done with this nightmare.

Sorry you’ve had to deal with that. If it gives you any hope, I had my build date pushed back a couple times back in October and the truck was finally built sometime in November. Start looking but don’t cancel just yet. It’s frustrating as heck but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Spark a joint and ask Alexa to play some Pink Floyd.
