Just got the email from Ford that my FE hybrid first ordered July 17 2021 that also had a scheduled build date of July 2 2022 had been pushed to the week of July 25.

I had thought that a specific date meant it was locked in, that's what the customer service chat had said. So now, since my 2.0 escape imploded early 2021 due to the coolant intrusion issue I've been without a working vehicle to drive to work for almost 18 months. I don't use my vehicle as a business but as a 16 year Army officer, having to tell my boss that I need to bum a ride from someone to make it to a meeting or event is getting embarrassing. Scheduling has seemed imminent for the entire time. Lesson learned.

Cheers to the rest of the 1 year club.

Oh also @fordmotorcompany to clear up the specific date scheduling thing...

Right there with you. Order anniversary today. Truck was built nearly a month ago but hasn't left Mexico yet. There's probably a hold on all of the hybrids for a possible recall/quality issue.

I am also without a vehicle since 2021, and my build week keeps moving further and further out. It's now the week of Aug 15 and I have zero confidence that date will stay where it is.

Also just FYI, the correct way to address Ford is to put a space between the 3 words Ford Motor Company.
Not that we can expect any reply, but @Ford Motor Company - if First Editions "must" be built in 2021, WHY are you delaying the building of FE models? Schedule them ALL and be done with them - please!

Build-dates aren't set in stone. If a necessary part won't be delivered to the plant in time, they can't build it!

Vehicles are first scheduled to a "build week" (this is what is usually communicated by the Ford emails). This build week can move around. It very commonly does. Mine changed 4 times.

A week or two before it is built, the build weeks gets changed to a build date. This is usually locked in, and unlikely to change, but I expect it still can under certain circumstances. Again, if yours requires a certain part that has been delayed....they can't build it! Their goal is to keep the plant as busy as possible. Yours may be delayed and another (that they will have all the parts for) built early.

I'm aware. I had a build week, then the support chat gave me a specific day. This is the third or fourth rescheduling. It's just more irritating this time because of the specific day and because the chat told me it wouldn't change.

Also because this puts my FIRST edition at a 1 year wait.

Should have called it something else. Like "first year edition", at least then I wouldn't have naively thought it would be first.

I had a "Build Date" of June 9th. Actually said I was "IN PRODUCTION". Now I have a "Build Week" of August 1. So, yea.... I believe nothing means a thing until the "MOD's" pop and your truck is built.

Ford needs to change the name to Last Edition.

I would go right to the top. Email CEO Jim Farley and every exec and board member listed on their website. [email protected]

In a Ford email from Oct 21 that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

Now Ford repeats that lip service in their latest email this month: "We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we get more information, at least once every 45 days.

Flood their emails ask why Farley has been breaking his promise to keep us updated for the last 9 months. If he cared about the customer he will listen. He has the power to put your build to the front of the line next week.

It seems pointless Ford will accept tens of thousands more orders in a couple of weeks when they can't even tell us the status of tens of thousands of orders placed months ago.
