I have the lane centering on my Lariat. If you get to a road where the lines are not visible, the truck turn off the lane centering itself because it doesn't know. That's why it isn't a "self-driving" vehicle. It helps, especially when driving in wind or with traffic. But it isn't meant to replace the driver.
Understand. I think for driving long periods of time on freeways or highways this function helps reduce driver fatigue which will help reduce accidents.

Have you driven your Maverick in L all the time?
For an extended period of time, yes. While monitoring temps and charge levels. It does not change anything about the driving characteristics other than going to max regen off “throttle”.

As soon as I realized it was not illuminating the brake lights I stopped. Too much traffic where I live.

Thank you, this! An important distinction. The system works wonderfully, for what it is - which is an assistant and not auto-pilot. You still have to drive the truck, keep a little torque on the steering wheel, and pay attention, because it's not going to just drive for you.

Eco mode does a LOT more regen but it's not real "one pedal".

I find it humorous comparing Ford's cheapest vehicle to a BMW- flattering for the Maverick even though the features aren't what the BMW has. :)
