On hold for chip!

LOL, No. It never left Mexico. I ordered it to be delivered to Italy (Military Auto Sales). But I got stationed back in the US before it was built. So the fact it went into shipping caused my financing to be due, so I was paying on it while it was parked across the border! Then when it finally got released, it had to be sent to Maryland, because that is where it was contracted to go (to be shipped to Italy) THEN it got put on a transport and trucked across the US before I could take delivery...It was a cluster!

Oh, OK. I saw your location as Puyallup which meant it'd go through the PDX yard, which had major theft last quarter.

Ordered xlt hybrid 9/20 with the only constraint being the co pilit 360. Being 72 I kind of need it for driving, to keep me safe. Got my vin late May and have had 4 dates for being produce. I have had 3 eta delivery dates with the last one being 8/26-9/1. My truck is 99.7 percent finished except for a chip. It is now on hold. For a chip. Dealer told me today. Living in southern Ohio I can’t help but think of all those f 150’s setting along the highway for many, many months. Brand new waiting on a chip! I understand everything that is happening in our world today, I am frustrated as well as everyone else is.
I probably would not be as frustrated if I would not seen with my own eyes, vin #’s 3-10 thousand higher than mine with every restraint being delivered.

Sorry you are waiting. I am too. But saw where you are from and thought I would say aloha! I grew up in Enon and about 10 years ago rebuilt the fence around the Bellbrook munincipal facilities.

Yeah, no, I am a special case, lol. The dealership was like, WTH, because the hauler had all sorts of cars that would never be brought to them, and one shiny brand new Maverick! They charged me extra for destination too, and I argued with them that Ford should have been able to direct ship it since it hadn't left the factory, but Ford refused. That actually saved it from having to go through Portland, so in the end, I am glad it worked out that way.

Have you asked if you could get the truck and have the chip installed later? I'm 73 next week and bought it partly for the safety features. My production date is 9/5

No it would be nice but ford hasn’t done that before that I know of,I wonder if dealer allotment has anything to do with it. I know they have a lot of them that needs to be delivered. Maybe it’s there way of saying wait your turn. According to ford I’m still in production. I’m just puzzled how in 2 1/2 months they couldn’t figure it out. Over and over again.

Good luck. Your dealer will get updated long before you will. My truck is complete but on hold for chips and according to ford I’m still in production. If all is right 4 to 5 days. Mine was in trim for 10 days.

Yes and they don’t know but what ford sends them. A quick check from your sales can tell you how often it moves along the line. I actually got my engine modules 10 days ago. I heard that is when there finished but maybe not.

I ordered my First Edition June 10th 2021. Here I sit with a 9/5 build date and no information from Ford! Dealer has given me Vario build dates, nada from Ford. At this rate I'll own the new VW Buzz.

I don’t understand how or why they took a bunch of you guys order and then crap on a whole bunch of you guys who was one of the first to order. Hope you can get yours I’m just frustrated cause I know they will build a whole bunch of new ones with the chip I need while I sit on the ground with a finished truck except for the one chip.
