Oil filter - K&N or Ford?

I understand there may be filters that trap finer particles than the Motorcraft filter, however some state these may reduce flow volume which could do more damage. So change your oil and filter no longer than 5K miles and you should be ok. Personally I use full synthetic oil.

Unless you have money to burn, just go to Walmart and buy a Motorcraft 400S or a 910S and a 5 qt jug + 1 qt of a good quality full -synthetic of the correct weight embossed on the filler cap.

Since "they" say oil out of a plastic qt container is clean and doesn't pose the risk of contamination of bulk barrel oil, I pre-fill my oil filter before I spin it on.

Oil filter removal: Once I establish that my filter will twist off, I take an awl and poke a hole in the bottom of the filter off center to where the pressure relief valve is and drain some oil, avoiding the spilling of a full filter. I put a produce plastic bag around the filter and spin it off, less muss.

Mobil one and Mobil one filter this time. Lots of opinions on this. Many times motorcraft on other vehicles.

Just did my 1st oil change on my hybrid 2024 at 4,800 miles and use Valvoline hybrid oil 0-20 and a Ford motor craft filter my dad and brother are Ford mechanics and said it's best to use what Ford puts when it comes to oil filters

Motocraft oil filter and an approved full synthetic oil for the Hybrid, like Mobil 1.
