Hi everyone!
I bought an AWL Hybrid 2025 Maverick XL yesterday and have been enjoying it so far.
I'm having something happen with the truck and I'm not sure it's normal. I've scoured the manual but cannot find any mention of it so I'm sorry if I've missed it.
When the truck is in park, whether by remote start or by the key, it emits a strong whine outside of the vehicle. It's loud enough that it can be heard throughout the group of houses, on my front porch some 30 yards away and, if I listen for it, even inside my house behind the front door.
I have noticed that it only happens with the vehicle is in park. I can drive with my window down, or be in reverse (not in electric mode) and there is no sound. But - the second I put the vehicle in park, the sound instantly appears.
Is this something to be concerned about? Is there any way to stop it?
I've taken a video and hopefully have figured out how to attach it. In the video, the sound is kind of normalized to the rest of the volume but in person it's absolutely shrieking and louder than anything else in the neighborhood.
