I have a similar one. It is required to charge it once a month to keep it in warranty. Only used it once when the Maverick killed my DieHard Gold flooded battery. I feel confident that I will be able to drive the Maverick should/If it happens again. However, I now have an AGM battery.

Yes. I keep a NOCO jump box under the backseat by the battery. It's great because it has a USB charging port for mobile devices and also a flashlight. I've used both during an extended power outage. They're also good for jumping someone else's car without having to line up two cars so jumper cables will reach. Much safer.

Set a calendar reminder on your phone to check the jump box charge every 6 months. However you should probably be able to go a year between maintenance charges.

These are the best things since sliced bread and round tires , if you have a gas vehicle should be carrying one in each car!
Daughter had to call aaa the other day , already adding one to her Christmas list !
