Went to use my bed power outlet for the first time today (2024 XLT Lux delivered in Feb) and am finding there is no power under any circumstances (ignition in ACC, on, engin running). LED indicators never come on, verified no power with my tester. Same for the outlet at the rear of the console. 12v dash outlet works fine.

Checked the owners manual to see if there was some switch or setting controlling power delivery. Found nothing.

Am I overlooking something obvious?? 🤔

Had a bit of wind here yesterday. My power was off 12hrs and my stepson's about 30hrs.
He found out the 400w in his Tremor would run his frig but not the Keurig coffee maker 😫

Has to be less draw than 3.3 amps. Any larger and inverter turns off.

I had the same issue on my 23. There was a loose connection under the bed. This affected the interior one as well.

From the factory? Any chance you have a pic of the culprit or can show us where?

Standard coffee makers usually draw around 5 Amps. You over the limit. I use a second 16000 watt inverter that runs off of a 12V- 800 cranking Amps battery. It runs my air compressor and other items. Now you can plug in a 5 Amp maintainer charger into your Ford outlet that keeps your auxiliary battery charged every time you drive your vehicle. Keep all your other gadgets away from the stock 12 Volt system you'll just be asking for trouble. Oh by the way did you find your problem? Fuse?

I did a deep search 2 yrs ago for a coffee maker that would work with the Mav 120v/400w outlet. I could only find one that met the standard, which I bought from Walmart and have used several times while camping.

As an electrician I hear ya, though I do have a 4 cup that works, thanks.

I'm covered for power outages. Short term I usually just crank up the 3.5kw portable that's plugged into house load center for essentials. Also have the ability to plug in the 7kw Onan from the motorhome and it's 50 gallon gas tank for days of quiet aux power. Even have an old portable Honda 1.8kw inverter type that the stepson borrowed yesterday to keep his sump pumped and home entertainment.

@Graboid had the problem, I'm curious too.

It was from the factory. I believe it was near the left wheel well. I never looked at it. The service department just told me it was fixed and that there was a loose connection. I would start at the plug in the bed and try to trace it forward. I would just take it to the dealer and mention that this was one of the resolutions before they start replacing things.
Cheers

Thanks folks for your helpful comments. I verified fuses for the inverter and both power outlets are good (71, 84, and 85 according to the manual).

Am working with my local dealer to schedule an appointment 👍.

Can you share an electrical schematic for your setup? I've always wanted to do the same. Is your auxiliary battery a Li-ion or NiMH or same as your 12V that starts the car?

Dealer diagnosed the problem as a loose connector and fixed it. Well at least it wasn't something serious...

I am just using a Lead acid 12V. You simply attach the inverter to the Battery ( follow the instructions that come with the inverter )then Find a charger of your choice and plug it into the Ford outlet and attach and the charging wires + and - to the battery so that every time you are driving you are charging the auxiliary battery. I used a 5 AMP charger. Make sure the fused side of the inverter has a thick gauge wire. That was a week spot that came with my unit. I rigged up a stronger line.

That's why this site is so useful. Some dealers just start replacing parts without knowing all the solutions. Glad it worked out for you.

lol, I'm still confused. I learn better with a schematic picture, 🤣. How are you connecting the aux battery? Do all inverters come with instructions to setup an aux battery for any vehicle?
