Basically, worker productivity is actually declining on a per-hour basis. Makes a lot of sense in understanding why Ford can't get more vehicles built, or delivered from the factories to the dealers in a timely manner.
Basically, all those folks making parts, doing assembly, etc., are actually producing fewer goods and services per hour than they were before. Stats show the worst decline in worker productivity since the 1970s, and businesses are not investing enough in equipment and capacity to catch up.
