Interesting article about "supply-side economics" and inflation.

https://menafn.com/1104679323/Worst-Productivity-Drop-Ever-Means-More-Inflation

Basically, worker productivity is actually declining on a per-hour basis. Makes a lot of sense in understanding why Ford can't get more vehicles built, or delivered from the factories to the dealers in a timely manner.

Basically, all those folks making parts, doing assembly, etc., are actually producing fewer goods and services per hour than they were before. Stats show the worst decline in worker productivity since the 1970s, and businesses are not investing enough in equipment and capacity to catch up.

So, if you like the current state of the automotive market and lack of inventory, you're in luck...

Most of that is driven by supply chain problems. Your production workers can't make cars if there aren't parts for them. This isn't because of workers producing less because of some fault of their own but rather it is because they are not allowed to produce more (because of parts constraints, deliveries, or other logistical issues)

Agree with TyPope. As far as inflation, buy Bitcoin and grab some popcorn. 😁
