First of all....wanted to say, great site with great info. I had alotta questions that I found answers for on here. Not sure why I waited so long to join. Sure wish they had internet and forums back in the 70s, 80s and 90s when I was working on all the junk I bought lol. ( I am a 1965 model btw lol ).
I purchased a '25 Shadow Black AWD w/2.0 Eco about a month ago, off the lot. XL, 4K Tow, CoPilot 360, ToughBed liner. I call it the " little truck that could". Pulls my utility trailer with no problem at all. With my tractor on it, it's around 3000 lbs total. Not supposed to tow, blah blah blah per break-in instructions, but it had work to do!! Has to earn it's keep!
One thing I found out....by accident and/or habit, you can shut the engine off in Drive, and it automatically goes in to Park. Anyone on here that's old enough can remember, back in the day before fuel injection, cars would "diesel" when you shut them off sometimes. Rattle, clang, bang....sounded horrible. An old farmer I worked for showed me how to just shut it off in Drive, motor is running slower, won't diesel then. But you had to not forget to put it in Park or set the brake, or could be a bad result lol. Key wouldn't come out either. A non-important point, but I wondered if it would be better for the turbo....wouldn't be spinning as long winding down with no oil pressure? IDK. My mind thinks like that....always unimportant gobblygook though.
Also....for anyone thinking on running Amsoil....their site is wrong for the oil filter number. For the '25s, should be No. EA15K50-EA, not EA15K51-EA. The latter number is for '24-prior Ecoboosts. Was on their chat the other day because you can't cross-reference the Motorcraft FL2127 on their site, and they list the same filter for all, but their rep was able to reference it, and sent me the correct filter. Least I hope it is, haven't changed oil yet lol.
To rap up, I had the Magnaflow 12255 muffler installed today, Got it at Summit Racing for $130 on No Tax Weekend, pretty cool. And it's just like y'all said....you can feel it in the seat of your pants, and has a nice rumble, not obnoxious at all. Great tip on that from you guys!!
Sorry for the long post. Again, great site, great info and tips. Lovin' my little black beast.
