Hey everyone, I've been browsing the forums since I got my Tremor back in mid February and I've finally decided it was time to join the club proper and share the new ride. I'm pretty proud of it considering there doesn't seem to be a lot of Tremors around, and certainly not where I live. Tremors in black seem to pretty rare too, as far as I can tell. My order was confirmed back in September of last year and showed up rather unexpectedly early, since I was just assuming I'd end up waiting a year like most people seem to previously. I wasn't set to get mine until late March, but I drove it home February 20th.

All things considered, I think it was an awesome purchase and I'm planning on hanging onto it as long as it'll last me. Never owned a truck before and my quest for a small truck started years back looking at Tacomas, but I wasn't willing to give $42k for a used 170k mile vehicle (crazy 2020 prices, but still, hasn't improved much). Didn't go into it wanting to buy a new vehicle, but the price of the Maverick was undeniable for me compared to most used truck prices. My goal is to make it into a bit of a long term project and do some minor under the hood work, but I mostly want to build it out into a overlanding rig of sorts. Nothing crazy, just stuff for day trips, off-roading and weekend camping - certainly not a rock crawler or a crazy lift with 34s on it

Anyways, here's the pictures

Welcome! The black Tremor is really the meanest way a Maverick can be built. Just great in so many ways. If I didnt live in the tropics I would have considered it after I realized I couldnt get it in Velocity Blue. We ended up with Hot Pepper Red for our Tremor. Probably gonna do alot of the same stuff as you. Down the road once I get bored I will probably do a tune/intake/exhaust after the warranty is long gone I may consider a intercooler/turbo swap. Suspension mods may happen, but possibly just strength, geometry, and just a small 1.5" lift. I do want to figure out a replacement or upgrade for the felt underbody panels. For the near term we are getting ARE MX topper with roof rails. I want to get a small solar panel for it and run a independent battery system for our fridge freezer in the bed. We also have Pipliners Cloud hitch mounted 8ft umbrella, Makes for some nice tailgating shade. We should have our truck in June. Cant wait.

Keep on ejoying it and dont forget to stop by and show off your adventures and mods.

Sounds pretty much exactly like what I wanna do lol. I’ve become highly interested in the turbo swaps i’ve been seeing popping up, but I’ll have to maintain my patience on that until the factory warranty wears out.

The felt underbody panels and wheel wells is definitely my least favorite feature so far and i’m waiting for a aftermarket upgrade on them to pop up. I’ve been wanting a cargo basket myself, but i haven’t seen any specifically for the Maverick come up or that support lighting systems. Only one i’ve seen sits on roof rails and it looks funny to me

As somebody who has been modifying vehicles for a long time, I wouldnt worry about something that has specific light mounts as there is always a light out there with just the right kind of size and bracketry to mount on anything everywhere. I would focus on one that fits the truck the way you want it and worry about the lights afterwards, they are always coming out with newer and better lights. Even in the last 10 years there have been multiple upgrades in size, type, and tech of lighting. All I can say is stay away from steel. I dont care if it was powdercoated, epoxied, and submerged in a tub of flex seal it will be rusting and dripping rust on your paint in 5 years or so.

IIRC there was one in particular I saw a while ago that used to be offered on the Ford accessories website made by Yakima that had the lights built into the cargo basket which is what I’d want, but the page for it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Good to know about the steel construction lights though, I didn’t consider that

Welcome aboard! This club is the best! I check in most mornings before I begin my daily tasks and always learn something about the Maverick (or human nature). Beautiful truck and the black really makes it unique. Here's to years and miles of safe and satisfying journeys.

Most of the modern lights are aluminum. I was talking about steel racks, they all rust and you may not know it till the drips have gotten into your clearcoat. With any rack or basket go aluminum on a new vehicle.
You can also draw up what you want and take it to small welding shops. It will only be as expensive as any premiun universal setup.

Welcome! I'm in KY too (northern KY)...what part are you in? I scored a Lariat AWD a few weeks ago but hoping to order a MY24 Tremor...haven't decided XLT or Lariat yet because haven't seen either one in person. Would love to see in person sometime...any KY Maverick meet-ups happening?

I have yet to see another Tremor in person.
The window to order them was so short. I would guess next year more will be sold.

Very western tip of KY. I can count on one hand the number of mavericks in my area I regularly see

IMO I don’t think the lariat is really worth it, a family friend of mine has one and I just wasn’t sold on if it was really worth it over the XLT, especially because he didn’t end up actually getting some of the features he hoped for.

Same here. My dealership had quite a lot of trouble actually getting my order to register in the system. I was extremely lucky mine made it in and was even built at all

Hey there, That's a fine looking truck!. I am living on an Island for now learning to foil surf. I bought a nice home in Bowling Green as an investment. I may be moving there if my wife has a baby. Better schools there then the Island here.. Welcome to the club. If I move there I will bring my Maverick!

Love the black! Every person who’s seen my Tremor comments on how they didn’t know Tremor was a thing for these, and notice the lift right away. It’s a head turner!

Very few here too. Actually drove down to Bowling Green to get mine (Greenwood Ford was awesome to deal with). I wouldn't have ordered a Lariat but like some of the features after lucking into this one (body color door handles/skull caps, power seat, 1-touch windows all around, access fob/push start, leather wrapped steering wheel are only things I really would like to keep from the package. Active X is nice too). I thought about XLT Lux package, but Lariat is only $1,700 more.

I have Atlas Blue (love it), so body color handles does make a difference I think. On black or carbonized gray I don't think I'd would be as noticeable...wish tailgate handle was included in that grouping as well. Tremor has a more aggressive look and not sure it matters as much on it either. Black Tremor is super sharp.

Care to post some interior pictures also? Only having website renderings is tough to order from. Haven't seen many Tremor pics at all.
