I asked Grok to look at the spy photos and, assuming it is based on the Maverick's size, what would a Ranchero look like? It said it will look like an EV Maverick. Basically, the results were the current version, with a few aerodynamic tweaks. It stated,

"keeping the Maverick’s fun, compact, rugged character while giving it a clean, modern EV front end with a charging port and sleeker lighting. If Ford ever does a direct EV version of the current Maverick platform, the changes would be mostly front-end and minor aero tweaks while keeping the beloved boxy, capable character intact."

I'm still not convinced Ford won't simply launch it as a Maverick variant with a "Mach" designation as they did with the Mustang. Maverick Mach T if you will...

Grok's "EV Maverick" didn't require many tweaks:

I like the design, assuming the AI render is halfway close. Might even consider one down the road. Honestly I thought of Taz after seeing that front end treatment. Not that that's a bad thing.

Pretty much sums up how useful AI is for such things.

Yep. AI is great at pattern recognition but not at innovation. It generates exactly what you tell it to generate. So the Motor Trend images look that way because they wanted it to look that way.

Beautiful truck but would worry about my breaker box handling a charge from my house built in 1924. ha ha ha
Built in 1924 and it doesn't just have a fuse box?

This design comes with a cool perk.. anytime you get rear ended you have to replace the bed & roof as one piece! lol
That maķes for one BIG stamped body panel. 🤔

I love my Maverick-recalls and all! Cheap to fuel and cheap to maintain and insure. Would i do a Ranchero? Hmmmm. EV does intrigue me. Maybe the next body style from the universal frame.
