New and continual mid-pitch whining noise above 40 MPH

Hello, kind of an odd noise to describe, but going to give it a shot to see if anyone else has encountered similar.

2024 Hybrid. 17,500 miles.

Within the last hundred miles the behavior of my truck has significantly changed at speeds > 40 mph (and this is before the cold snap so I think I can rule out weather-related - plus it didn't do this last winter). Now, it makes a continual whining noise that I'd call 'mid-pitch' (not high-pitch) - as if an electric motor is not disengaging. It's not super load, but definitely obvious and definitely didn't use to be there. I'm pretty sure the regen feature is also behaving differently. Now when I let off the gas at higher speeds, the gauge drops clear down towards the middle, near the battery icon (vs just a little into the green range previously), almost as if I were lightly braking. That also never used to happen at higher speeds.

Anyone experienced anything similar? I suspect without more symptoms the dealership is going to say 'we didn't find anything'...but my truck is behaving significantly differently than it used to. No warning lights have triggered.

Notice the drive mode on your screen.
Wondering if it's accidentally not defaulting to Normal on each start up?
Or you got a kid or doggo pressing some buttons?

Sounds like Eco mode, though Normal can reach mid-point too depending on what speed you are talking about the coast starting at.

All the drive modes are higher regen rate the faster the coast starts at.

Almost wondering if yours wasn't working as normal until lately.

Is this an extended coast - like a decline enough that the coast is good enough to keep at speed?
Well actually, if enough decline it WILL stay at speed you released the gas pedal.
The whine could be the ICE being spun up because the HVB is max 71% full and electric to waste.

Is it colder with ICE running longer? Than HVB could be charged up usually, and you see more of the ICE breaking on brief downhills or coasts.

Because the 2 motors don't really engage/disengage if moving.
Traction motor tied to the wheels - you are moving - it's spinning.
Generator motor is spinning either to prevent ICE from spinning, or for gearing to use, though it could be at 0 RPM at exact speed/power situation, just providing torque against ICE/TM.

Possible some windings are being touched in a motor.
Tranny fluid been checked lately, or leaks from it?

Warranty covered it - just out a truck for 2.5 days was all. (I didn't ask for a rental)

They didn't comment at all - I also didn't ask though. I was too happy with the fact that they found something vs. the dreaded 'we didn't find anything' that I was afraid I'd get.
