New ‘25 Hybrid XL! 😁

Hello all!

I’ve been a short time lurker, and recently went on the hunt for a ‘25 Hybrid XL, in Desert Tan. My first car was a ‘98 S10, and absolutely love mini-trucks, haha. The Maverick having back seats for the kids is just perfect. (And being in a price range I can afford). I eventually found one over in St. Augustine and made my purchase in May.

Here she is. I immediately got a Tyger soft-tri-fold top, LASFIT floor mats, my girl got me the Tmat modular bed liner/organizer system-thing (pretty neat), a one a little trash can for the back for the kids.

We went on a road trip to NC the first weekend I got it, just took a trip to Key West, and currently have about 4500miles. And if I’ve learned one thing from this place, I should DEFINITELY ask if I should change the oil yet, and which brand is best.

Yes, it's time to change the engine oil & filter.
Use a synthetic oil that meets Ford's spec. Such as Castrol Edge, Mobil 1, or Valvoline.

About the oil change, you obviously need to wait for the next full moon, ideally when Pluto is in Aquarius. Or when the oil monitor says it is time. Whichever.
