Never received email from dealer confirming order

never received an email. From ford that my order was accepted. Emailed dealer and no response back. How can I tell if the order was accepted at Ford. Did I just throw away my deposit money?

It will s the breakdown of charges and options you have requested. Normal process is to sign off on it and send it back with ID

mid you have not, I would suspect you have no order

I signed a paper that showed all the options and charges, so aI guess that is a yes

As soon as the dealer inputs your order, you should get an automatic email from Ford confirming the order. I suspect your dealer has not done that. I received mine before I even left the parking lot.

Here's what my dealer, who I trust, sent me when I asked about Ford's confirmation emails:

We do not have a VIN yet, but once your vehicle starts production we will have that, and the ability to track it! Not every customer gets email confirmations from Ford, so please try not to be too concerned with that. For whatever reason the online community has been obsessing over manufacturer emails like that ever since we started ordering Broncos.

The option printout (dora) has an Order Code on it. The sales rep was able to manually trigger the email with the VIN number on it to my email address. With the Order code and VIN you can get status at https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

You can also go to https://www.ford.com/myaccount/ and create an account and use their chat option to verify your order.

So that was your Dora, it has all the numbers Ford needs to look you up on it

I ordered in June and never got any emails either. You can call 1-800-334-4375 (Ford customer service) The build sheet they gave you should have an Order Code, Sales Code, and Priority Code. If you have all that, along with the email address you gave to the dealership, Ford can find if they have your order.
