Neutral tow

Anyone have an issue with neutral tow option disappearing from the menu options? Interesting experience today. I hooked up my 2024 Maverick hybrid to my RV preparing to head down the road. Much to my surprise the neutral tow option was nowhere to be seen on the menu screen. I must have gone back and forth a dozen times to no avail. A call to Ford tech support, was told to contact a dealer. Dealer said ok, but you will have to leave it for 5-7 days. Decided to have DW drive behind me for a while until we could rent a two wheel dolly. We had to turn back for an issue for the RV (another story) and while I was waiting for the DW I went thru the menu screen with the truck running and noticed the neutral tow in the menu but faded, not selectable. When I turned off the truck, then went to acc power, the neutral tow option was there. Now it works like it was supposed to. I have no idea why the option was not there all morning.

I just love all this technology!???!!!?!?

Glitches are not uncommon, unfortunately.

However frustrating, they usually resolve themselves without cost, other than time, by rebooting systems, sometimes necessitating disconnecting the 12v battery and reattaching it after a few minutes.

Also, a low 12v battery is known to make glitches more prevalent.

Did all that. The neutral tow option was not there. After I stated the truck, ran thru menu the the neutral tow was back. I have put this truck in neutral tow many times. This is the first time this has happened. At least the glitch corrected itself after running thru the start menu.

My recent vacation disconnected vehicle from rv and ended Neutral Tow. Dashboard prindl stayed on N. I could drive the truck np. When time to continue our trip the truck would not go into Neutral Tow again. I ended up disconnecting the battery for 20 min. This cleared the issue. Truck at dealership now. I'll report back on resolution, if any.
