After almost a year of waiting my maverick should be here in a few weeks.
For Canada (or better yet Ontario) did the dealer try to upsell any unnecessary options?
The last time I bought a used car from a dealership, I remember laughing at the poor manager who was trying to sell me "tire insurance" and paint protection on a used economy car.

Any stories?

[Also Ontario; also waited 13 months from order to delivery]. TBH, nothing more than a slight push for a maintenance plan and extended warranty. However, I would say that my dealership did nothing that a website couldn't do, except maybe bolt the license plates on it. You might also see an increase in MSRP (if you originally ordered a '22)... so maybe put some thought into negotiating out of that.

(Ontario as well, but only 12 month wait) The only one my dealer pushed was the 3yr Tire Guard for $199. No deductable, Not prorated. Also covers the winter tires (purchased as a package from dealer). Easy for me to accept because of 2 flats within a year and tires not repairable. Cost for the Continental tire is about $250 plus installation etc and taxes.
Other items, all the dealer said, Here is a list of other services and products we can provide, you tell us what you want, if any. When I did the final paperwork, they did not even bring the options up.

The one thing that I did splurge on was the ceramic/graphene treatment. After 4 months, I've only washed the truck twice, plus the freebie rain washes.
