Need some help with Carplay

Ask your dealer about replacing your Audio Control Module under warranty. That fixed all my CarPlay issues. The only other thing I do is wait until the head unit fully boots up before plugging in the phone.

Only other question I can think of is are you up to date on your SYNC version in your truck? I have a 24 Lariat Hybrid and have not had any issues with CarPlay.

I’ve done all of those things. It’s at the dealer now. Let’s see what they find.

Update:

Still not working. I guess several 24’s have this issue. I brought it to dealer for a second time for an available update but that didn’t work either. While it was they replaced all the modules as well, still not working.

Ford told me there is nothing they can do and they’ll let me know whenever there’s a fix…. Annoying

Clean the usb port on your phone and try again. Especially if they used the same cable you tried.

This solves so many issues with iPhones, from chargers not charging, to CarPlay not connecting, to not mounting on a hardwire connection to a Mac. I use a can of compressed air, wipe down the connector, in my case Lightning, and always use cables at least M-Fi certified from a known manufacturer, like Anker.
