Keep the Lariat. Based on what we know now the XL is unlikely to get built. If it does you may be able to flip that and make some back on the lariat. This year I’m pretty sure the XLs actually made a better profit than the lower trims.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. (The XL is the lowest trim.)

XL resale profit margin may well be higher than Lariat's, based on anecdotal evidence.

But then there were times Vroom, etc, were making higher offers on an XL than a comparable XLT.

Holy heck, please keep your '22, especially for those of us whose orders were rolled to '23. But more so for yourself! You have a guaranteed vehicle coming vs hedging your bets and holding out for the cheaper '23 that may not get built.
And, the wait. The Wait. I will never forget the delay in getting this truck. If I could have it now............

I do think they will, if the dealer gives it the lowest priority number. That's a big if. Secondly if the order has too many constraints, it might get passed over for a new 23 order that has none. Then there is also dealer allotments, and nobody is quite sure what's happening there.
Thata

Yeah, I feel ya. I ordered the Lariat 11 months ago. Would be painful to go through that again hoping the ‘23 XL will be built…

Keep the lariat and let the 2023 play its course. Make your actually decision if/when the 2023 is built. Go drive it, see if you can live without the Lariat features... If used market is in a year like it is today, you could make your 10k++ on the Lariat and save the money with a brand new truck.

Okay, I get it now. What @HTX really meant to say was:

"the XLs actually made a better profit than the lower trims higher trims."

What's that old saying? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Yeah, that's it. That one.
