Need advice for rooftop tent setup.

Hi everyone, I want setup a RTT that place below the roof of the truck, I found that icamper sky mini 3.0 is perfect size, but the price is over my budget, do we have another brand make RTT similar size with Sky mini 3.0. Apriciate all the help.

I have the ARB Flinders on my truck, it is low profile and costed me a little over $1000 new.

The RTT I used was a Darche. It is an Australian brand I found here in Canada at a great price. RTT seem to all be made in China in only a few plants. The names change and the prices vary wildly for functionally the same product. So look around.

Yeah I saw your setup look great, do you have a cover of the bed, I already have a roll up cover, afraid when install Billie bar a i can't use it any more, try to research more before put the money down. Thank you.

I have the oem, soft tonneau cover with the BillieBars, you can roll it fairly easy. You can see it rolled up in the picture.

Do you have any problem when roll up a cover, the one on billiebars site is 6.5 inch, high, is that the one you have ?

It is not super easy to roll up but it is very doable. And yeah, I have the normal 6.5" height bars on mine. If you want it for a tent, make sure to order the BillieBars tent brackets, the ones supplied with your tent won't work.

Thank im in between Billiebar and tuwa mid high shiprock, I don't know with tuwa, how it look with the tent over the roof.

Yeah, I went with the BillieBars because it keeps my tent at the same level as the roof, less drag on the highway.

I got 34 mph recently in my 2024 on a long trip from Texas to the Dakotas and back. A lot of that was flat prairie 70 mph, which as you know, doesn’t help much with hybrid mileage…. I also have a thread about that trip.
